E’ stato Silvio Berlusconi, presidente di Forza Italia, il primo leader politico ad incontrare il Consiglio Generale permanente di Confcommercio nell’ambito dell’iniziativa “Un tema una proposta”. Dopo l’introduzione del presidente Sangalli, che ha sottolineato tra l’altro che “se non fossero disinnescate le clausole di salvaguardia e dunque scattasse l’aumento dell’Iva, nel 2019 avremmo 13 miliardi di tasse in più”, l’ex premier ha affermato nel corso del suo lungo intervento che il documento presentato dalla Confederazione “ha il merito di non dimenticare mai il contesto generale. Sono d’accordo su tutte le proposte, e quelle che non sono già presenti nel nostro programma lo saranno”. Berlusconi ha anche parlato di disoccupazione giovanile, proponendo che le imprese che assumano giovani disoccupati paghino 1.500 euro l’anno onnicomprensivi per sei anni, e di Europa, affermando tra l’altro: “saremo a fianco delle imprese per modificare la Bolkenstein secondo le esigenze italiane”. In seguito ha citato il problema della criminalità , evidenziando che “primo dovere dello Stato è garantire l’incolumità del cittadino e dei suoi beni”, e quello del fisco (“serve una forte riduzione delle aliquote, accoppiata a un taglio della cattiva spesa dello Stato e all’eliminazione dell’Irap”).
