“Milano e il Secolo delle Città”: l’intervista del Presidente di Confcommercio al Sindaco. Dati positivi per il turismo da sostenere con nuovi progetti. Fare squadra per le Olimpiadi 2026.
In Confcommercio Milano il presidente Carlo Sangalli ha “intervistato” il sindaco Giuseppe Sala sulle priorità e le sfide future per la metropoli: dalle periferie, all’attrattività, al digitale e l’innovazione, ai giovani. Con testimonianze di quattro imprenditori: Davide Agricola, presidente dell’Associazione commercianti di via Padova; Francesco Wu, referente di Confcommercio Milano per l’imprenditoria straniera; Paola Generali, vicepresidente di Assintel (l’Associazione delle imprese Information Communication Technology) e Andrea Colzani, presidente del Gruppo Giovani Imprenditori della Confcommercio milanese. Spunto per l’iniziativa – patrocinata dalla Camera di Commercio Monza Brianza Lodi – il libro del Sindaco “Milano e il Secolo delle Città”. Il Comune sta facendo investimenti in edilizia popolare per ridurre la distanza tra centro e periferie. Importante anche il ruolo di acceleratore del commercio con i negozi di vicinato che rendono i quartieri più vivibili e i sicuri. “Il rilancio delle periferie – afferma Sangalli – è forse la sfida più importante e difficile di Milano. Per affrontarla è necessario mettere insieme vari elementi come sicurezza, imprese, decoro urbano, eventi e infrastrutture. Per questo abbiamo proposto al Sindaco la necessità di concentrare gli sforzi su un “quartiere test” per rendere visibili i miglioramenti e realizzare un modello di riferimento utile per tutto il territorio”. “Le Olimpiadi invernali 2026 sono molto importanti per la nostra città e per il Paese. Da qui – evidenzia Sangalli – la necessità di fare squadra fra Milano, Torino e Cortina per vincere questo grande evento che si caratterizza per il forte valore sociale ed economico. Sperando che si formi al più presto il Governo per avere un sostegno anche a livello nazionale”. “Il Sindaco usa spesso il termine reputazione, fondamentale per il turismo dove – spiega Sangalli – i numeri di Milano sono ancora in crescita: + 2% nell’occupazione delle camere negli alberghi nei primi due mesi 2018 rispetto allo scorso anno. E anche a Pasqua si è registrato un aumento del turismo a Milano (+ 5% con un’occupazione di camere fra l’80 e il 90%). Questo conferma il momento positivo della nostra città che deve essere sempre sostenuto attraverso nuovi progetti: come le Olimpiadi del 2026. Ma pensiamo anche al raduno nazionale degli Alpini previsto per maggio 2019. Per tre giorni Milano sarà pacificamente invasa da 500mila persone che rappresentano una delle realtà più belle e solide del nostro Paese”. La vocazione internazionale e di accoglienza di Milano è confermata dai numeri: l’imprenditoria straniera è il 15% del totale (47.348 imprese). “A Milano – rileva Sangalli – le imprese guidate da stranieri sono aumentate di oltre il 40% negli ultimi cinque anni. E’ una realtà sempre più importante con cui è necessario confrontarsi anche perché crediamo che l’impresa sia una delle vie più efficaci di integrazione nel rispetto delle regole. Regole che vorremmo il più possibile semplici e comprensibili”.
