Pratiche commerciali sleali, clausole contrattuali abusive, consumatori non tutelati: sono le accuse della Commissione Ue ad Airbnb, la quale ha tempo fino a fine agosto per correggere i propri comportamenti ed adeguarsi alle norme Ue. Se non lo farà, la Commissione si rivolgerà alle autorità degli Stati membri, le uniche che possono lanciare procedure sanzionatorie. Tra le contestazioni di Bruxelles, la presentazione dei prezzi che non è completa perché non mostra il prezzo totale ma esclude spese come pulizia o servizio. Airbnb “aveva contestato l’applicabilità della norma italiana sulla cedolare secca, lamentando di non essere in grado di distinguere tra gli host imprenditori e gli host non imprenditori”. Lo ricorda Federalberghi ricordando che la Commissione ha chiesto al portale di una serie di modifiche a tutela dei consumatori, tra le quali anche quella di indicare chiaramente se l’offerta è fatta da un privato o da un professionista. “Oggi la Commissione Europea gli impone di farlo”, sottolinea la Federazione, che si dice pronta a “stare a guardare che cos’altro inventerà il portale allo scopo di sottrarsi alla legislazione italiana”.
